Beijing, May 12, 2023 — Migrasome Therapeutics (Beijing) Co., Ltd. announced that it had joined the Roche Accelerator in China. With support from the accelerator, the company aims to advance its migrasome-based drug-delivery platform and innovative therapeutic programs in immunology, oncology and other areas.
Drug-delivery systems control the release, targeting and absorption of therapeutic agents. Next-generation systems must address cell-type-specific targeting, complex biological barriers and efficient delivery of challenging cargo such as nucleic acids. Migrasomes, newly recognized organelles first discovered and named by the team of the company’s scientific founder, Professor Li Yu, provide an original biological foundation for exploring new delivery technologies.
Migrasome Therapeutics is developing an engineered migrasome delivery platform and studying key attributes including biocompatibility, cargo capacity, targeting and manufacturability. The company is also using migrasome biology to analyze disease and explore new therapeutic targets.
