Product specifications

Use this page for product selection and experiment planning. Consult the EL002 series manual for the full procedure and limitations.

Wheat germ agglutinin can label the migrasome membrane. The EL002 series supports fluorescence staining and microscopy of migrasomes formed in situ by cultured cells or of purified migrasomes.

In situ staining may be performed on live cells or appropriately fixed cells. Purified migrasomes may be stained by preparing a working solution and mixing it with the sample.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How should the 488, 555, or 647 variant be selected?

EL002-488 corresponds to 495/519 nm, EL002-555 to 555/580 nm, and EL002-647 to 650/665 nm. Match the microscope channel and avoid spectral conflicts with other labels.

What is the starting range for in-situ staining?

A dilution range of 1:100–1:500 is recommended for in-situ cell staining. Optimize concentration for the cell type, background, and microscope settings.

Are there restrictions on fixation?

Staining can be performed after fixation with 4% paraformaldehyde. Glutaraldehyde fixation produces red autofluorescence, and methanol fixation disrupts migrasome structure.

What cell density is recommended for in-situ observation?

A confluence of 10%–20% for observation is recommended, with a lower density for faster-migrating cells. Excessive density can impair both migrasome formation and imaging.

How should the product be stored?

Store at 4°C protected from light. Shelf life is 12 months when stored as directed.
