Story

On January 6, 2025, China Science Daily published a feature on Migrasome Therapeutics that was subsequently republished by Tsinghua University. The article interviewed the company’s General Manager, Leili Ran, and introduced both migrasome biology and the company’s translational work.

Using the metaphor of a cellular “courier,” the report explained how migrasomes can transport biological materials and signals. It described the engineered migrasome, or eMig, delivery system developed from the properties of natural migrasomes and the company’s work on precision drug delivery. It also highlighted research-use kits designed to help hospitals and universities isolate and analyze migrasomes.

According to the report, Migrasome Therapeutics had established efficient eMig production technology, completed initial development of production and quality-control methods, advanced small-molecule and nucleic-acid loading technologies, and built a tumor-immunology research platform. The company had also joined the Roche Accelerator in China to explore potential applications with industry partners.

The article stated that, as of the interview, the company had received close to RMB 150 million in combined government support and market-based financing. It also noted that the company placed first in the biopharmaceutical category of the 7th Zhongguancun International Frontier Technology Competition.

Migrasome Therapeutics will continue to advance disease analysis, engineered migrasome delivery and migrasome modulation in collaboration with academic, clinical and industry partners.
